Experienced leadership, skilled fabricators, and a shared commitment to delivering the highest quality custom metalwork in the industry.
Len DiGrande started his career in 1983 as a door-to-door salesman at a fencing company in Detroit. By 1992, at 27 years old, he founded American Fence & Supply Co., Inc. with two partners who shared his work ethic and vision for what a construction services company could be.
What started as a fence company grew into one of the most trusted names in custom metal fabrication. Len built the company on a simple principle: take care of the client, deliver quality work, and do what you say you are going to do. That principle still drives every decision at Metal City Fab today.
Under Len's leadership, Metal City Fab has grown from a regional fence contractor into a full-service custom metal fabrication company serving general contractors, developers, architects, and institutions across multiple states. The company now operates with in-house engineering, four proprietary product lines, and a team that has fabricated metalwork for some of the most recognized names in commercial construction.
We built this company on relationships, not transactions. Every client we work with becomes a partner. That is how we have been doing business for over 30 years, and that is how we will always do business.
Our leadership team brings decades of combined experience in estimating, finance, operations, and project delivery. They set the standard that every fabrication is held to.
Rusty leads the estimating department at Metal City Fab, overseeing bid preparation and proposal delivery for projects of all sizes and complexity. His team reviews drawings, assesses scope and materials, and delivers comprehensive proposals with the accuracy and speed that general contractors and developers rely on. Rusty plays a key role in identifying value-engineering opportunities that reduce cost without compromising quality.
K.C. oversees the financial operations of both Metal City Fab and its parent company, American Fence & Supply Co. His financial leadership ensures the company maintains the stability and capacity to take on large-scale projects, invest in equipment and proprietary product development, and deliver on the commitments made to every client.
Martin manages day-to-day operations across Metal City Fab's fabrication and field divisions. He coordinates project workflows, crew assignments, production schedules, and quality standards to ensure every project is delivered on time and to spec. Martin's operational leadership keeps the shop running at the level our clients expect.
We are always looking for skilled fabricators, welders, engineers, project managers, and field installers who share our commitment to quality and take pride in their craft. If you want to work on challenging projects with a team that values excellence and accountability, we want to hear from you.
